SHORT DESCRIPTION
A sculptural take on the classic hoop, the Wave Hoops transform a familiar silhouette into a study of continuous movement. The rounded form rises and falls in an irregular rhythm, creating the impression of a single ribbon of molten silver flowing around the ear. Smooth and substantial, their undulating silhouette brings a sense of movement to an otherwise simple form.
THE DESIGN
- Inspiration: Inspired by the movement of a wave as it rises, folds, and settles, the Wave Hoops explore the transformation of a classic hoop into something more fluid and organic.
- Form: A rounded hoop follows an irregular, undulating path around the ear, swelling and narrowing as it moves through the curve. The changing profile creates a sense of movement while maintaining the recognizable silhouette of a hoop.
- Details: The smooth, continuous form gives the design its distinctive character. Subtle changes in thickness and direction create dimension across the surface, while the polished silver catches and reflects light along the curves.
- Collection: Part of Vesper — The Alchemist, a collection exploring liquid silver and shadow. The Wave Hoops express Vesper’s FLOW language: familiar forms stretched, curved, and reshaped as though liquid silver has been caught in motion.

Sterling silver can naturally tarnish over time through exposure to air, moisture, cosmetics, and other environmental factors.
To care for your jewellery:
Store in a dry place when not being worn.
Keep away from perfumes, lotions, household chemicals, and chlorine.
Remove before swimming, bathing, or using cleaning products.
Clean gently with a soft jewellery-polishing cloth.
Avoid abrasive cleaners that may scratch the surface.
