SHORT DESCRIPTION
A sculptural take on the classic drop earring, the Wave Earrings transform a simple hanging silhouette into a study of silver in motion. A fluid, irregular form curves and folds beneath a delicate ear wire, creating the impression of molten silver rising and settling into a continuous wave.
THE DESIGN
- Inspiration: Inspired by the movement of liquid as it curls and gathers into a wave, the Wave Earrings explore the tension between weight and movement, transforming a simple drop earring into a more sculptural form.
- Form: An elongated, organically curved silver form hangs from a delicate ear wire, with the lower section swelling into a rounded wave-like shape. The open negative space within the form gives the design a sense of lightness despite its substantial sculptural form.
- Details: The smooth curves and changing thickness of the silver create a sense of movement throughout the piece. The open centre allows the polished surface to catch light from multiple angles, emphasizing the contrast between the flowing outer edge and the negative space within.
- Collection: Part of Vesper — The Alchemist, a collection exploring liquid silver and shadow. The Wave Earrings express Vesper’s FLOW language: silver that curves, folds, and gathers into forms that appear to have been caught in motion.

Caring for Sterling Silver
Sterling silver can naturally tarnish over time through exposure to air, moisture, cosmetics, and other environmental factors.
To care for your jewellery:
Store in a dry place when not being worn.
Keep away from perfumes, lotions, household chemicals, and chlorine.
Remove before swimming, bathing, or using cleaning products.
Clean gently with a soft jewellery-polishing cloth.
Avoid abrasive cleaners that may scratch the surface.
