SHORT DESCRIPTION
A sculptural study in movement and negative space, the Portal Ring frames an open centre with a flowing silver form that rises, dips, and folds back around itself. Its irregular silhouette creates the impression of a liquid arch—part structure, part molten gesture.
THE DESIGN
- Inspiration: Inspired by the idea of a portal formed from flowing metal, the Portal Ring explores the moment an organic form curves around an opening and creates its own sense of architecture.
- Form: A continuous, asymmetrical band that rises into a broad arch across the top of the finger before sweeping downward along either side. The open centre creates a strong negative space, giving the ring its distinctive portal-like silhouette.
- Details: The uneven height and flowing contours keep the architectural form from feeling rigid or symmetrical. Rounded transitions and a highly polished surface soften the substantial silhouette and create shifting highlights across the silver.
- Collection: Part of Vesper — The Alchemist, a collection exploring liquid silver and shadow. The Portal Ring brings together Vesper’s FLOW and MELT languages: a structural opening formed entirely from silver that appears to have stretched, curved, and settled into place.

FIT & WEAR
This ring has a thin profile on the band to sit delicately on the finger. The portal arch rises up onto the finger and could be stacked on top of other bands.

Caring for Sterling Silver
Sterling silver can naturally tarnish over time through exposure to air, moisture, cosmetics, and other environmental factors.
To care for your jewellery:
Store in a dry place when not being worn.
Keep away from perfumes, lotions, household chemicals, and chlorine.
Remove before swimming, bathing, or using cleaning products.
Clean gently with a soft jewellery-polishing cloth.
Avoid abrasive cleaners that may scratch the surface.
