SHORT DESCRIPTION
A sculptural study in transformation, the Melt Studs capture the moment a rounded mass of silver begins to stretch and pull downward. Their elongated open silhouette gives the familiar stud earring an unexpected, liquid quality—like molten metal caught mid-movement.
THE DESIGN
- Inspiration: Inspired by molten silver as it stretches under gravity, the Melt Studs explore the transition between a solid, rounded form and a fluid shape in motion.
- Form: A rounded upper form tapers into two elongated, flowing extensions that curve downward and terminate in softly rounded tips. The open space between the extensions creates a distinctive elongated silhouette.
- Details: The contrast between the substantial rounded top and the delicate, tapering extensions gives the design its distinctive character. Smooth, polished surfaces emphasize the transition from mass to movement and create dramatic highlights across the silver.
- Collection: Part of Vesper — The Alchemist, a collection exploring liquid silver and shadow. The Melt Studs express Vesper’s MELT language: forms that stretch, pull, and transform as though solid silver has begun to liquefy.

These studs are meant to be dramatic on their own but can also be worn in tandem with other studs from the VESPER collection to create a series of melted shapes along the earlobe.

Caring for Sterling Silver
Sterling silver can naturally tarnish over time through exposure to air, moisture, cosmetics, and other environmental factors.
To care for your jewellery:
Store in a dry place when not being worn.
Keep away from perfumes, lotions, household chemicals, and chlorine.
Remove before swimming, bathing, or using cleaning products.
Clean gently with a soft jewellery-polishing cloth.
Avoid abrasive cleaners that may scratch the surface.
